New York, New York

This past week i've been in New York on a Choir tour. Everyday we would sing at a school or other venues, but we got some fun times too. We went to Times Square, visited Ellis Island, and watched 3 different plays.
Our shoes: Me, Michaela and Rachel
We watched Les Mis, Pippin, and After Midnight. I loved them all, though After Midnight was more of a jazz concert. We also ate at Planet Hollywood, Buca di Beppo and John's Pizzeria. When we got back to the hotel, we usually hung out and played cards for humanity, trying not to get caught awake after curfew.

Though we didn't get to do any shopping, it was a good trip and I'm definitely looking forward to next year's tour.

Wonder Women #1

In a world where girls like Miley Cyrus, Amanda Bynes, and Farrah from Teen Mom are celebrities, it’s pretty easy to think that there are no nice women to look up to. I am here to renew your faith in humanity and tell you about some great girls out there who I consider role models.  First up , Karlie Kloss

My #1 girl crush, my favorite celebrity, and the woman I will now gush about. Not only is she beautiful, from what I've seen she's a nice person. She has her own line of baked goods (Karlie's Kookies) that gives a portion of their earnings to FEED, a charity that gives food to the needy. Also, her instagram is one of my favorites, with beautiful and silly photos, I especially love the recent photos of her road trip with T-Swift. All in all, I think she's one of the few celebrities that should be a role model for young girls.

Monthly Goals - February

So, every month i make some goals, mostly compiled of my weekly goals that happen all the time, and now it is time for my February one. Okay, I might be a bit late, but better late than never right?

1) Take better care of my face

I've been trying to take care of my skin for about three years, but I'm just awful at sticking to the routine. I get lazy at night and forget about in in the morning. But recently, i've been doing a lot better with washing my face morning and night. my goal is to keep that up, along with the face masks I use 1-2 times a week. I can already feel how much better my skin has gotten since I stopped skipping my routine and just doing it.

2) Buy exfoliator

This isn't exactly a big goal that'll take me a month to try to achieve, but I know if I don't put it on here, I'll keep putting it off until BAM! it's March. I'm deciding between the Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator from The Body Shop or the Peach and Willow Bard Deep Pore Scrub from Burt's Bees. If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments.

3) Plan / Eat healthy lunches

I'm trying to eat healthier, and one of the things that don't really help are school lunches. No matter how healthy they say they are, I don't really believe them. So I want to gather some ideas for school lunches, and pack my own lunch. Hopefully, this goes well, and I don't end up reverting to pizza and cookies from the cafeteria.

4) Do yoga every morning/evening

Yoga is very relaxing, and I'd like to do it more, especially before the morning rush that is my house on weekdays. I'm not looking to do anything really complicated, just some nice moves that will help me relax and stretch. My goal is at least twice a week.

5) Get all my assignment do on time / be more organized

I am not an organized person. At all. My school stuff is a mess most of the time and i tend to forget important deadlines or assignments. I'm working to be better at doing everything and not procrastinate until the last minute every time.

6) Post on this blog at least once a week

Honestly, if I don't force myself to write, there would not be a blog post on here. It's not because I don't like to post, I honestly am such a procrastinator that I end up pushing back things that I like or am excited to do, it's that bad. But I'm trying to change that ( as you can tell from the last goal), and hopefully it works :)
